Gans Creek

A little departure from my detail oriented style, this landscape is more impressionistic. The reference photo was busy and rather dark but there was something about the light.

It was taken early one morning before the day got too hot. My daughter and I were on a field trip to see what we could find at this creek. The area was quite lush with some amazing liverwort covering the rocks on the bank. But this view captured the feel of the day for me: cool morning light shining through the leaves to dance on the water in the shallow creek as we splashed waded around looking for (and finding) wonder.
