This piece was my original submission piece for Columbia Art League’s Interpretations Art Show in 2016. Memory was my interpretive piece for that show.

The reference picture for this painting I took while on a walk with my daughter one morning. It was a cool morning and this dragonfly was cold enough that I could get quite close. I loved the light coming through the facets of his wings. It reminded me of stained glass windows. The body too was glowing from the sunlight coming through.

The second picture shows the painting in its hand-made walnut frame.

If you are interested in this piece please leave a comment below or find my email on the  contact page. The purchase price includes the hand-made oak frame, glass, mats and (not shown) hanging wire. So it is ready to hang on your wall!
